This extraordinary house was fully remodeled and transformed into the residence with beauty and functionality, enhanced with the history vibes of the surroundings. Before the time it was ABBOT KINNEY’S praise, 2-story English Style Cottage home, originally built 1928; The new idea was to redesign it the way becomes CONTEMPORARY-SINGLE FAMILY nest and gives it modern flare-look alongside with beautiful garden, stone pavers, trees, hedges and fruit trees.

ARCHITECTURAL INTENTION was to give to the house new spaces and volumes, with eclectic and refined, material ranges from classic to contemporary styles, includes surfaces and furnishing accessories which relates to VENICE. Experiencing the house by capturing the imagination of each room makes this journey unique and emotive. The main door is arched which leads to the main living area. The entire space is crafted with wide plank-stained oak flooring, while 9’-4” ceiling goes across, full-height case windows. West side of the living room hosts newly made FIRE PLACE for which is used honed lime stone. The room has Gelim Flatweave Rug which pairs perfectly with STUDIO customized coffee table, Robert Haussmann pair of the armchairs, covered with STUDIO designed “Amore” upholstery; Green sofa is redesigned with soft green velvet, while 18” pillows wrapped in Tistlar Red much loved handprinted fabric, designed by Dagmar Loden 1949.

On the opposite side, toward East, THE GUEST ROOM is designed with the visual dialogue in mind, where mix of texture, art and color is used to create unique artistic influence. Day Bed “Lola” is made of full walnut wood and mare outdoor fabric, design and crafted in Green Point by the STUDIO leaders and local wood craftsmen; Polished Nickel Ceiling Light suits the space, while credenza with steel top by Moroso takes the place by the long side wall as book stand. The art in this room belongs to neo-expressionism artist Milomir Romanovic and mixed-media collages artist John Spinks.

MAIN STARWAY has broad projecting step risers, running into U shape, 2 landing with 2-story tall window. Stairs are custom made and designed in the STUDIO. The painting “Frida” is specially commissioned for this area from the well-known Los Angeles artist Biljana Misic.

KITCHEN AREA is made of highly-customized details and every piece are transferred from creative vision into reality, with ease. Soulful pairings of mixed metals in cabinetry and trims surrounded by wood detailing brings charm to the space; Material used are perfect combination of oak and gray blue paint with kitchen island as hearth of the kitchen, customized and designed especially for this home and its proportions. Chest wood is used for massive credenza in DINING AREA by the dining table, designed and made by STUDIO in Green Point.

On the second floor we have made NIGHT AREA, with 2 rooms plus master suite. MASTER SUITE has own story achieved by colors, materials and ceiling heigh. Combination if all is so powerful and can evoke a range of emotions when entered to this area. Pants and art chosen giving a special accent to it, wall mirror is by Moroso while furniture comes from local gallery dealers.
